What does a fractional CMO actually do?
A fractional CMO sets marketing direction, builds the operating plan, hires and coaches the team, manages agency and vendor relationships, and reports to the board. They work part-time, typically one to three days per week, with a defined scope and term.
How is this different from your execution services?
Strategy and Consulting is intentionally separated from execution to keep advice independent. We will recommend in-house hires, other agencies, or no spend at all when that is the right call, even if it means we earn less from the engagement.
How long do strategy engagements typically run?
Fractional CMO retainers usually run six to twelve months. Project-based strategy and positioning engagements typically run six to twelve weeks. Audits and vendor selection projects can be shorter, often four to six weeks.
Do you work with private equity and portfolio companies?
